2011 Australian Lingerie Model of The Year - the sultry Melissa Manning travelled to the International Lingerie Show in Las Vegas where she was highlighted in the exlusive runway show which traditionally kicks off what is arguably one of the world's largest lingerie trade shows. Melissa appeared in a luxurious and lacy black outfit making a lasting impression on the huge audience assembled in the Amazon Room in the amazing RIO All-suite Hotel & Casino (pictured left).

The profesionally choreographed and visually spectacular runway show showcases all the latest outfits and shoes from the world's leading underwear manufacturers and distributors. It is a vital part of the International Lingerie Show with the actual trade show being the main component. It offers an opportunity for sellers and buyers to get together and many huge deals are struck here every year. The trade show features well known lingerie brands such as Shirley of Hollywood, Allure, Baci, Dreamgirl International, Leg Avenue, Rene Rofe, Coquette and some head turning footwear from Playboy Shoes and Ellie Shoes. Not only does Australian Lingerie Model Winner Melissa Manning get to strut the runway at the world's largest Lingerie Show in Las Vegas, she also gets to shoot with one of the most talented and creative commercial and glamour shooters in the business - Las Vegas based Brian Brown. Melissa has been invited to work with Brian who has genereously set aside a whole day for the shoot and the plan is to shoot several looks. Talk about taking your portfolio to the next level!

The things we see, Brian Brown sees a little differently. His mind’s eye adds color and humor and fantasy so that the images he captures with his trusty lens at once reect the ordinary and the not so ordinary, the real and the surreal. His images wink at us, and invite us to wink back. This surreal bent is a natural fit for a Las Vegas native. Though he spent much of his formative years traveling and living in Europe with his military family, he eventually settled in Sin City, where the juxtaposition of sparkling kitsch and stark desert often serves as his muse.

Much of his conceptual portraiture opens up a skewed yet funny take on the world, as if he were still a little boy letting us in on a joke. His keen eye and ironic surrealism has landed Brown an array of prestigious clients since opening his studio six years ago. He’s snapped conceptual images for MGM Grand, Maxim, Vegas Magazine, the National Finals Rodeo, Cathouse, Tabu and Studio 54 to name a few. He’s a highly collaborative shooter who appreciates that his success was built with the support of a dedicated crew, trusting clients, and network of family friends—all of whom are more than willing to step through Brown’s lens like Alice’s looking glass and get a glimpse of his colorful world.

It was a case of second time lucky for head tunring underwear model Melissa Manning. Melissa was the 2nd runner-up in last year's final and the experience must have done her good as she is now our new Australian Lingerie Model of The Year! The brunette with the killer bod beat a bevy of beauties to become only the second ever to walk away with the highly coveted title and a prize package money can't buy at the National Final held at a pupming Love Nightlife at Broadbeach. The competition was incredible hard with the elite of the nation's hottest up-and-coming lingerie models lining up on the extra long runway! This incredible night was MCee'd by the gorgeous Brooke Evers!

The National Final capped off a busy week for the head-turning models which included media functions, photo shoots and a a visit to Segway Xperiences and the Sling Shot. The amazing teams from Bodyography Cosmetics and Makeup & Hair by Maryanne made sure the models looked dazzling by the time they took to the stage. The judging panel, headed by Fashion TV CEO Aaron O'Donnell and including Rob Tamburro from Bodyography Cosmetics, Luke Kenny Editor of EVOKKE Magazine, Liana Mirko from Intimate Whipsers as well as Playboy Golf director Glenn Molloy had a difficult task trying to separate the finalists but after first hitting the runway in the fashion wear/little black dress section and then in gorgoeus lingerie, Melissa eventually emerged as the winner. She was closely followed by Amanda Blanks who was 1st runner-up and Kristylee Waine who secured the 2nd runner-up position.
